Could it be? Ford hints Indiana Jones 4 could include Connery
Here's some freaking cool news. Harrison Ford says Goerge Lucas and Steven Speilberg (obviously working together because they're cash strapped) are almost finished writing the script for Indiana Jones 4.
Looks like the wheels are in motion and filming will start soon.
WATCH OUT DR. JONES!

Holy, are they ever taking their sweet ass time with this movie or what? How old is Connery now anyways? Like 65+?
NM: Ford himself is 64!? Holy crap..they better hurry up if they want either Ford or Connery to complete this film.

Lucas will screw it up if he has the chance. Speilberg should pay him to stay away from this project.

I believe it was Harrison Ford himself who speculated that the subtitle of Indiana Jones 4 might be "Indiana Jones and the Comfy Chair."

haven't they been doing this dance for like a decade?
i always thought they should just do an atlantis movie, from the lucasarts game - it was actually pretty cool, besides the cliche of being atlantis

Harrison is 64. His girlfriend (Calista Flockhart) is 41.
Connery is 76.

Coincidentally, that's also her weight.

God! This movie is NEVER going to happen!
Twenty years from now when both Connory and Ford are dead, the internet will be abuzz with rumours of cyborgs foisting their corpses around the sound stage in an effort to FINALLY finish the fourth Indiana Jones movie.

A few weeks ago at the film festival, I went to see the Raiders of the Lost Ark Adaptation: a shot-by-shot fan recreation of the film made between 1982 and 1989 by three kids who were 11 years old when they started... basically they spent every summer of their teen years doing a few more scenes of it, and they did all the sets, costumes, props, stunts themselves, including the truck chase and the melting faces.

Interestingly, the rights to their story have been purchased, and Daniel Clowes is currently working on the screenplay about their childhood. I'm looking forward to that film far more than to part four of the series.

Didn't Sean Connery recently announce he has retired from acting?

Saw a clip of that on the news. They even set their parents' basement on fire to film the bar scene.

Maybe the story deals more with the beginnings of Indiana Jones? Kind of like batman begins or something. Then you don't need these geezers as the main actors, and can maybe include them as cameo's or flashforward scenes.

there was a real neat show awhile back, like 8-10 years, called 'the young indiana jones chronicles' or something, where he was running around africa with his fat french buddy getting into trouble.
it was a cool show, made with the same kind of 'old serial' humour.
one of these days i want to track it down on dvd because i saw maybe 20% of the episodes before it was canned.

Or... you can have them as the main actors and set the movie 15+ years after the last movie (so I guess it would be set circa 1960?).
