6 - 4 Hitmen. With Pushkarev getting the hat trick and assisting on 2 others. Getzlaf with 2 and Zalasky with 1.

Hitmen in a blow out 6-1. The Pats are struggling right now, and they played last night which should be an advantage for the 'men.

There is no reason to expect we will lose, but giving up four goals would not be good. I'll predict that Ladd finally breaks out, and the Hitmen win 3-1.

1-1 after 20 minutes. Hitmen scored after the Pats tied the game but the goal was waved off.

3-1 hitmen...Tomanek with the goal. About 11 minutes left. 22-15 shots for the hitmen.

Make the final 4-1 Hitmen. Scott Bowles has matched his win total from last year at 4. The best start in 5 years for the hitmen.

And to think that it is that 'massively inferior' team from up Hwy 2 that is the team to take the most points off the Hitmen juggernaut! Early days of course.......

Off topic but another very strong game by Phaneuf tonight. Scored the winner tonight in a 6-2 Rebels win and was named third star. Not bad considering it was the teams 5th game in 6 nights. If this is rebuilding, which incidently I don't believe it is, I'll take it.

Another thing that's interesting is that the Rebels were slated to struggle to score but have 26 goals in 7 games. Actually 1 more goal than the aforementioned juggernaut.

Kidding aside, the Hitmen are the real deal this season and more Calgarians really should give them, and the dub, a try. Calgary will likely be the regular season champions this year. They just have to hope that they don't meet the massively inferior team from up North in the first round of the playoffs!!! :P

When I read "massively inferior team from up north" I kept wondering, "When did Edmonton get another WHL team?"
