Default Stingrays going on the offensive?

Steve Irwin died in a fluke encounter with a Ray? Now they are flopping themselves onto boats and stabbing people? Beware...its a new neo-con weapon!

An 81-year-old man was in critical condition Thursday after a stingray flopped onto his boat and stung him, leaving a foot-long barb in his chest similar to the accident that killed "Crocodile Hunter" Steve Irwin.

Attacking sting rays!

Methinks it's more likely the work of Kimbo the Dufus. Adding gentically altered killer stingrays to his arsenal to make the World bow in submission.

So a sting ray doesn't kill an 81 year-old man, but kills the crocidle hunter...wdf

Since no one knows the exact identity of Shylock, we may not at times be absolutely certain exactly how persons, groups or organizations relate to Shylock.
However, this book explains a technique by which, after study of the Shylock Media Agenda,[1] one can with little effort track much of what you read, hear on mainstream radio and TV back to Shylock goons and to the Shylock Media Agenda.

I've seen manta rays jump out of the water. Why not sting rays? I think they do it to shake off parasites.

They struck first, claiming two lives. It is time we struck back. We need to get sea borne and take the battle to them! Our alliance with the beavers may have just paid off..

I did see on the news the other day something about fish that jump out of the water and into boats? The U.S. has them apparently and they are a big pain in the ass. I saw the clip but never the story, anyone else hear or know about this? It looked fairly interesting.

Stingrays don't kill people. Stingray barbs do, and make it a hell of a lot easier than it would be otherwise.

By all accounts Steve Irwin's death was one in a million. Only something like 7 people have died as a result of being stung. (i dont know if Steve is included in that total or not.

They 'flicker' their wings on the surface, but I've never seen one completely exit the water (and I've seen lots... see the picture thread). Especially the 1foot+ it would require to enter a boat. Their shape makes it almost impossable.

I'll ask my prof next semester when we move on to the chordates

WDF is a chordate?

I had a GI Joe when I was a kid who was part of C.O.B.R.A. underwater SCUBA division and he came with a sting ray. Just so you know. I saw this coming.

Time to de-barb all stingrays. It'll just be like de-clawing cats . . . only more people enjoy the company of stingrays over cats.
