WTB: metals - small quantities

I need to get a few different pieces of metal for some projects in my garage, and while most of the pieces I need are at Home Depot, I suspect that they're ridiculously overpriced, as most parts at HD are. Where's a good place to go in Calgary to buy small quantities of aluminum and steel in angle, channel and pipe configurations?

Any of the scrap metal dealers in town. Calgary Metal on Ogden road, Blackfoot metal etc etc.

That or ask a fab shop for clippings, most of them throw any excess into a bin outside their building.

I would try this route first. Tons of good metal with varying shapes are available in the scrap bins. Just don't expect to get anything long. They'd be happy to get a couple bucks more than they would get from the scrap yard.
