Just wanting to get a sense of who here is a lifelong Calgarian.

And I mean lifelong...born here, raised here, and have never had a home address other then a Calgary one. Only execption is having lived outside of Calgary, at most, for 4 months at a time before returning (I am thinking most likely post secondary students going to school somewhere or post secondary co-op term projects, somewhere else but returning after the 4 months).

Basically, the ONLY fixed address you ever had was here in Calgary, or you took off to school somewhere else, but returned here upon completion.

If this doesn't apply to you, if you moved away when you were 3 and came back when you were 5, if your uncle's friend's sister is one, if you were born somewhere else and moved here when you were 2 etc etc, please don't post in this thread, no mater how interesting your story may be.

So who else is out there?

28, born and raised except for one year in Houston Texas and some extended trips (a few months) to Melbourne Australia.

I'm the only one in my family to be born here, and one of the only one in my circle of friends.

Spent 12 years in a house in Whitehorn, then about 8 years in a house in Millrise. My first place on my own I was renting with a gf in Midnapore, and I have had a condo in Chaparral for 6 years now.

I love this city, and while I'd like to try living in different plces (also like to travel) I'd always call this place home and probably always own a house here.

Same house in calgary all my life. I have travelled a fair bit, and I still think this city rocks!

29 years here. I lived in Stavely for a few months 10 years ago but thats it.

I'm a native Calgarian... born at the Holy Cross Hospital. Lived here all my life, and my wife is a born and bread Calgarian as well.

17 years! Literally my whole life... but i'm heading to Vancouver to attend UBC starting next fall. I've been a long time reader of this site... but never really posted anything.

Born and Raised, going on 32 years.

Lived in Kelowna and Fernie for a short time when I was 2 or so...

I Don't remember it, so it doesn't count.

I would suspect that many 35 and below are life long Calgarians. However, ask those in the 50 to 65 or 70 age bracket. Those would be all of your parents who moved here from Saskatchewan

Born and raised, 32 years now....although I have seen some changes to the city that weren't exactly positive...ie population boom, cost of living, etc. Still love Calgary though!

Born, raised 22 years so far. Same house. Not moving out of this house for another few years (maybe 1 or 2) and staying in Calgary is 95% for sure!

Born and raised... 10 months in Red Deer 2 years ago... by kept a rented appartment in Calgary, and my fiancee here just incase a thread got started, and I could use that as my escape clause. I did drive down every weekend save for about 4 of them... So 26ish of 27ish years.

Wouldn't mind living in a small town again, but it would have to be within driving distance to my hometown.

23 years, all of it on the Hill West of Sarcee and some time in the Westgate area... Oh and the forgettable year in Somerset (bleh)

I used to go off roading with my dad when Westhills was a mound of dirt! and when we had one of only 20 houses in Richmond Hill and a horsefield could've been seen from our back yard.

Oh yeah, I was born at the Calgary General (RIP) hospital, a stones throw away from the brand new Saddledome in '83.

I'll live on this hill or in another town, the hill is home to me.
