Men Smarter Than Women
According to study . . .
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/liv...n_page_id=1770
The study - carried out by a man - concluded that men's IQs are almost four points higher than women's.
British-born researcher John Philippe Rushton, who previously created a furore by suggesting intelligence is influenced by race, says the finding could explain why so few women make it to the top in the workplace.
Rushton is the controversial UWO prof.
[me posting this probably proves that men are not smarter!]

I don't think it's surprising that women would score worse than men on tests developed by men. This is simplistic, but I don't know many women who would score as high as me on an intelligence test if all the questions were about hockey.
Same way an ethiopian would kick my ass in an intelligence examination if the questions were about indigenous plant species of ethiopia.

I'm with Borat, I can't believe that we let women drive cars in this country. This is like letting a monkey fly a plane, very dangerous.

Well I don't know if this is true or not but men and women certainly don't think the same. The femi-nazi's are so obsessed with proving that women and men are equal. Well men and women aren't equal, we are very different creatures, and not being equal does not mean that one gender is superior. There are hardly any women in Engineering at UofC, this could be partly because of societal influences but it's more likely that men are more likely to be drawn to studying math and engineering due to their mental make up.
IQ tests are flawed anyway, a person's experience and education can alter their test scores.
A major reason why women don't make it as high in the workplace is voluntary absences to have children and raise them. Any man that takes off numerous years to raise his children would not climb up the corporate ladder as high as he would if he just worked the whole time.

Yeah, and the fact that I'll probably end up mentioning it to the wife later tonite would reinforce that theory.

Men conducted this study just so they could point it out to their wives. Which proves the stupidity of man, and not woman.

IQ tests are about as useful as using antiseptic before administering the death penalty via injection.

Preposterous.
The reason women make 3/4 what men make is because men sign their cheques.

So the fact that most women voluntarily take themselves out of the work force for extended periods of time has nothing to do with it?

Many women don't leave the marketplace to have babies, and they're still paid less than their male counterparts. Being fresh into the oil and gas industry I can certainly tell you that its an old boys network all the way. I'm already paid as much as my female counterpart who is actually educated and trained to do the job; I'm not.

Women are smarter and can tolerate more pain...!! This is a commonly known fact. IQ tests are meaningless because not everyone tests the same.

Rushton has released "studies" like this before. I'm surprised he still has tenure at Western, with all the calls for his dismissal numerous times before.

Isn't that kind of the point of it all? If your not as "experienced" or "educated" you aren't as smart. Hence where women come into the equation.

Ever heard of maternity leave? Some women take a while off, then return to the workplace, in fact it's a regulation, companies have to allow it.

I think men and woman are overall pretty equal, although it's hard to deny the fact that most geniuses, or people who have reached the ultimate peak in their field, have been men. Whether that's a case of women being supressed or not is a different question I guess...
