Telus Contract Question

I'm on a one year contract with Telus and I've been thinking of upgrading to a blackberry due to my workload and reliance on email...is it possible to switch my contract and the phone without getting penalized? Or am I stuck with this phone until my contract is up?

A few questions for you...

How far into your one year are you?
What did you get for your contract? IE: features vs, phone discount.
How long have you been a client?
How much do you spend on your phone every month?

Regardless of all that, the answer is likely yes. Well, the answer is yes for sure if you're willing to pay for the blackberry or other data device. (For those of you waiting for the Palm with Windows OS, it's comeing SOON, as well as a new BB.) If you want a discount, the answers to those questions will dictate the offer given. after six months all regular phone clients are given an option to upgrade to a data device at the fully discounted price. If six months has passed you will definately get a discount on any data device, if not the answer is no
