Happy International Men's Day!
The theme this year is 'Male Positive Role Models'. While there are many men I could choose to recognize, including my father, brother, and our Lord and Saviour, Jarome Iginla, today I'll take the opportunity to celebrate Dr. Harbir Singh Gill.
Dr. Gill is a family physician who has sacrificed his own personal earning potential to devote himself to the operation of the not-for-profit clinic he founded, Northeast Addiction and Mental Health (NAM). He is kind, generous, smart, dedicated, selfless, and just an all-around phenomenal man.
NAM provides treatment for addiction, mental health problems, and negative coping mechanisms, in English and Punjabi. They are the only licensed addiction treatment provider in Alberta that specializes in culturally competent care for South Asians, and as such they help segments of the population that have nowhere else to go.
But Dr. Gill needs help, and NAM needs help. They are in the midst of a funding crunch that jeopardizes their ability to continue operating. To learn more about NAM's fundraising campaign and why it matters, please follow this link.

Thank you for your time and attention! Also, please share any positive male role models of yours!
Mods: I asked for permission, received no reply, and didn't want to miss the right day for this. I'll take the infraction for sharing an unauthorized fundraiser if needs be.
