I had a gas fitter come in and rework the lines to the new gas cooktop. Everything is good to go except he never turned the gas line service valve back to the "on" position.
I'm trying with a pipefitters wrench to turn this SOB but it seems that a medium level force isn't doing a thing to turn this. I don't want to force this least I bust the valve off and have a real problem, but it seems like such a simplistic thing to do. Am I missing something? Is there a trick to these?
Here's what the valve looks like. I know it looks ridiculously simple but the "tang" of the valve ain't budging.
