Anyone heard about the new season? I keep hearing the radio ads, but I haven't seen anything posted here about it. Do the winners still get a shot at training camp? And if they do, are they at this years training camp?

Wow, had no idea they were doing another Season. I watched every episode a couple years ago, it was cool. Gonna search for some info.

I remember reading here about the past winners and what they were up to, but can't recall the details. At least 2 of them played some AHL games.

That is awesome! I loved that show - best little piece of reality TV I have ever seen.

I bought the DVD set and watched it like it crack rock! I think I went through 7 disks in about 3 days.

I know that the Flames pick Matt Hubbauer got at least half a season in the AHL, but does anybody know how the other 5 guys "drafted" faired?

It would be sweet if some minor pro contracts came out of the show.

Interesting... I think that's a much better idea... Last Man Standing.

the Last man standing gets a $250 000 endorsement contract AND representation of an NHL agent... the question remains... would anyone sign him?

I can't wait for this season of making the cut to start. Nor can I wait for the Hockey Season to start.

James Demone was the canucks pick. He was signed by the Moose and played 55 games with them last year. He was invited to the prospects camp this year. No word if he made it through to the main camp.

It will be wonderful to see a player fulfill the dream of one day playing in the ECHL... er... NHL?

If a guy is anywhere near a pro career, he's already got an agent. Doesn't sound like much of a prize.

This sounds intresting. I'm guessing most of these guys are going to be at a bit of a higer level of skill then the last bunch.

It's an endorsement contract. Guy probably has to make the NHL for it to kick in.

Was friends with Evan Haw's older brother growing up, the kid is a monster. He is a guy who could make the NHL regardless with some grooming. Also know Jarret Lukin, pretty good player who had a great year in the WHL but it was just the one, overshadowed by other guys in Kamloops like Upshall, Cunning, Hogg etc.

Possible spoiler below (highlight):

Hate to ruin it for everyone but I am pretty sure Franklin MacDonald wins it as he played in the preseason game Flames vs. Florida. He was never drafted and I figured that its Keenans show and he was the GM in Florida,so he gives the kid a chance.I just watched the show and put 2 and 2 together.I think anyways. ON another note Who is Jack Birch??????HE acts like some big hotshot and he is nothing.Coached two seasons in New York as an assistant.

MOD edit: Weak man. If you hate to ruin it then don't ruin it.
