Default Bizzarro Terrell Owens news

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2604395

This doesn't sound like it can be anythng but bad.

In other NFL news, Chargers starting safety Terrence
Kiel was arrested by the DEA today.

There was a little tidbit at the bottom of that article that could've also ended in disaster:

"He was trying to cut some tape off his uniform," Parcells said. "He had his hand down in his pants and he missed. Fortunately he cut his hand."

I don't know what to think about this. I don't want to feel bad for the guy, but I guess I do. He has just hurt so many people along the way.

Maybe he's realized he isn't as good as he thinks he is...

I harp on this guy as much as anyone, but this is really sad.

A guy with an ego that large is one of the last suspects for suicide.

Even though he brought the media attention on himself....looks like he simply couldnt deal with it.

I thinks it's just another attempt by this nut to keep himself in the spotlight and keep the attention focused on him.

If he can't do it on the football field then why not try some other method

Strange. very strange, is this a sad media ploy or a way to get his full contract without playing? or is this a guy who is very troubled and needs help? I have no idea, what a sad turn of events.

IMO I don't think it's a media ploy - the guy had a horrible upbringing and much like Dennis Rodman he overcompensates for his insecurities and low self-esteem by acting the way he does. The dude needs help - hopefully they can keep that idiot agent of his away from him so that it can happen

Well I'm certainly not an expert in human psychology in the least but I think someone who outwardly as arrogant as Owens, could be overcompensating for some real bad self-esteem issues.

Could be the man has a mental illness (manic depression). This could explain his strange behaviors over the years. I also think he has been getting terrible advice from his agent. Sure, his agent has made him lots of $, but T.O. has become a very unpopular athlete.

The Dallas Police Report:

http://www.dallasnews.com/

The Cowboys announced around 11:30 a.m. that Owens would soon be making a statement about the incident.

"Owens was hospitalized late Tuesday because of what his publicist said was an allergic reaction to pain medicine he was taking for a broken hand. Doctors reportedly tried to induce vomiting."

So the publicist was the friend that was on hand, I am not sure what to take from this. I feel as though it was just an adverse reaction to the medication he was taking. The doctors said that is what they were dealing with and I know that happens a lot, especially when you take a new medication which he did.

The one confusing part is how the report says he tried taking 2 more and how it was all emptied out on a desk. Maybe TO took more to try and rid himself of the pain he felt from the adverse reaction. This is tough to tell because half of the report says it is an bad reaction to the meds and the other half points to suicide.

Either way I hope he comes out ok and gets the help he needs (if he actually needs it)

I've taken some pretty heavy duty painkillers in my time - and in reading the side effects I remember warnings that thoughts of suicide may increase when taking the drugs.

Just wondering if any tv/radio stations are carrying the press conference?

Bill Parcells is getting a bit upset with the media asking him over and over again for medical details of what happened to Owens; says he's been in practice for 2 hours and has no idea as he is not the team doctor.
