I was thinking the same thing yesterday ... the only thing worse is if the cover had the raiders logo on it.

Dammit, hope SEA can keep up their passing game up then. At least they've got who is likely the best fullback in the league in Mack Strong and Morris isn't too shappy of a RB either.

Has anyone on the cover ever had a decent season?

I know Ray Lewis had a good year, not great like his usual stuff. Other then that everyone has really tanked.

Lewis didn't get an INT the year he was on the cover... the first time in his career.

Glad I didn't draft him. But I may have if I hadn't been the 8th pick.

I think you are missing the idea of NFL seasons going over two years. Ray was on the cover of Madden 2005 which is the 2005/2006 season. So when looking at his stats, you have to look at the 2004/2005 season since that is the one in which he was on the madden cover. Look at his player profile in 2004 and compare it to 2003.
http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/3831

Also, about the 0 interceptions, most seasons he gets 1 or 2, only the one year he got 6. Now I am not saying he played outstanding, but he had a good season. His stats were slightly worse then the year before, with the interceptions being the only significant drop (that category being the highest at 6 only once.)

So dont forget, you are looking at the 15 game season where yes he did miss one game due to injury, not the year after that.

Isn't that backwards? For example the current version is 2007, but we are right now in the 2006 season. (or 2006-2007 if you wish.)

Yeah sorry i meant 04-05, either way his stats for the season of the madden cover are under 2004.
