New Ipods today!
Lots of speculation on what Apple is going to announce today. New ipods? New nano? Movie service looks very likely.

I'm not all that pleased with the battery life in my Nano. My wife has a Zen Vision:m, and while I usually try to stay away from Creative, this is a quality product.
I've heard the new iPod is supposed to have a 16x9 display.

Thats what our supplier for our work computers was telling us as well. The whole thing is a screen. Click wheel is on a touch-sensitive screen and everything. Pretty cool. Bet it'll be cheap....

Apple is going to announce a Movie Service through iTunes, and IIRC the major partner is Disney, at least at launch. I haven't heard much of the new iPod though.

I love my Zen. No complaints about battery life. I bought the Vision:m because it is compatible with Napster. For about $15 a month, I can dump tunes into the player without having to purchase the music.
The early rumor on Apple's movie service is that only Disney flicks will be available for now. I can only watch Son of Flubber so many times.

I bought the Zen when it was on sale through a Dell Days promotion. I ripped a few of our DVDs and the video looks really good. I chose it over the iPod Video because it will play more types of video natively (XVID, DIVX, and so on). Just drag and drop.

I wish I could use a Creative MP3 player but being an Apple user I am pretty much stuck with an iPod, and the Creative players can't play half my music.

I also read a few months ago that Microsoft would be unveiling their own "Ipod" which would be WIFI compatible, and be able to share files with fellow "Ipods" wirelessly, when they come within a certain distance of others (I don't know why you'd do that). Also, there was speculation that the WIFI would enable you to download music and video from the MS "Ipod". There was speculation that Apple would try and match these abilities. Pretty cool now though.

Ipods - white plastic menace to society. Honestly, there are more capable and reliable and practical players out there. Ipods are just too ubiquitous to be cool anymore (not that they ever were). I wouldn't be caught dead with one.

That's the player I'm currently pining for. Good to know that other people like it, too.

I'm interested in finding out exactly what this iTV thingy does.
Just downloaded ITunes 7 and about to install. Anxious to use the new Ipod copying feature.
