White Doors is drinking tonight
My wife is SOO tired and is sleeping on the couch with the OEB. Don't usually spend time having a drink here and posting, but anyways - what are people drinking these days?
I have been really loyal (stubborn) to Gibson's 'gold label' 12 year old rye for about 4 years now.. Mixed lightly with ginger-ale. preferably diet.
What are other people's favourite drinks?

Not a huge drinker by any means, but I really like Crown. Whiskey Sours are my favourite drink.

Well I can at times, but Gibson's is SO much better than Crown's. Especially for sipping.
seriously.
Get diet 7-up next time, try it. less sugar, more taste. Of course if you like Crown you may not like the taste?

Ahhh.. I grew up in the maritimes, so rum (Julien was the drink of the choice, so maybe that's why I gave it up... Not sure, but I can't handle the harshness of white rum and 'off colour rum' is too syropy for me.
How do you spell 'syropy'???

I haven't ever been a fan of rum personally. Is there anything good to mix rum with other than coke?

i was at a party a few weeks ago sponsored by Ten Cane Rum, and they were giving out free bottles to anyone who wanted. So Ive been drinking a LOT of that lately.....and I think they advertising bombardment might have worked.

Not that I know of..
Vodka is the one that you can mix with most anything, but not rum or rye in my opinion... Pepsi is terrible. again, I think diet pop is better with most any mix.
And thanks for the spelling. That was bothering me. I almost had to wake the wife!

haha! good stuff! I used to drink only beer, but gave it up a few years ago. Just 'too much bloat for the buzz'.. haha. Seriously, pretty much the only beer I drink now is after work and it's always a pint and it's usually a keith''s. Other draft's (draught's for eastern girl) I like are Rickard's red and Moosehead.

Actually, a sleeman's 'off white' IS refreshing from a fresh, cold tap.

Gibson's 12 year is the second best whiskey ever, and is the reason I stopped drinking Crown. It's sooo much better methinks. The best whiskey ever? Gibson's rare 18 year. It's like nectar. I usually am not a sipper, but I can drink that stuff straight without ice. It's that good.

You know, I love rye - a cousin of scotch and I know my drinks, but I can't bring myself to like Scotch. It's the smell. Same with Tequila.
Weird? probably yes.

Yes, better - but almost twice as much? I'm not rich!
I get that as only gifts, unless you consider a gift at Christmas to yourself as a gift.

Really? Well, there's a couple of endorsements, I guess I will have to track some down and giver a go.
As for beer, I have never been a fan. But whenever I am out with the boys, that's what I end up drinking. Haven't found any that I like enough to drink regularly though.
