EA Sports NHL '07
Im pretty pumped to play this...finally get to see hockey HD.
Question though, it says its in stores Sept. 14th, so if you pre-order from EA online, would it be in your mailbox on release day? Just wondering if anyone has tried pre-ordering from thier website before.
Ovechkin on the cover? Im guessing he has a bad year
I think these were the last covers....all had bad years after.
03 Iggy
04 Heatley
05 Naslund
06 Lecavalier

I'd also be curious to hear from someone who preordered last year. I was about to, but started to worry that I'd be waiting by the mailbox for a week after the stores were stocked.

I'm hoping for a free copy from EA before I preorder it.

From what I remember reading on other hockey video game boards in previous years some people who ordered from EA were lucky to get it before or the day of it's release date but some had to wait an extra day or two.

Jordan, how can you get a free copy? Do you test for them?

If you order from EA, make sure your billing address (ie. the address on your credit card) is the same as the shipping address, or else they won't ship it. In fact, they won't bother to make any sort of contact with you regarding this. You'll simply be left waiting, unimformed, and boiling over.
This wasn't the first bad experience I had with EA. Let's just say their customer service is atrocious.
Still though, I love their games, play them to no end, but I no longer pay to play them.
It seems to me that most people who pre-order from EA get it on the release date or later (by a couple days). I would suggest just buying it retail (if you must buy it). Also, the date says September 14th, but it will actually be the 12th (a Tuesday).

I ordered it last year... I received it almost a week after it was out... it also ****ed me off because they charged me the "discounted" price in US funds, it was still cheaper though... but not worth it IMO... this year I will pick it up on the first day like every other year before that...

Just curious how does one get 360 games without paying? Has it been cracked already?

heh heh...you know I don't have 360. I was talking regular box. I don't know about 360, although when I get one, I will be the first to tell you. Unless I go with PS3 (which is the way Garhett and me are leaning) in which case I will be the first to tell you about that.

I thought about going with PS3 but then for less than what the PS3 alone would be including taxes I was able to get a 360 bundle, two games, an extra controller, a battery pack charger and an extra battery pack. I might still get a PS3 eventually but it'll be after a price drop.
NHL 07 for the 360 is actually what convinced me (besides saving $85 with the deal I got through Futureshop) to get a 360 now instead of later. So far I'm loving it though I'll probably still do most of my gaming on PC but atleast now I'll be able to play the games I always wanted to play but couldnt because they were console only.

The 360 I got ended up being $469 on the bill but that was because it was when Futureshop had their "Spend $500, Get $50 off promotion going". The other $20 got taken off the other things I bought with it. I also got Perfect Dark Zero free with it so I ended up saving $85.
You can get a bundle at Futureshop now where you get the Premium Edition, Project Gotham Racing 3, an XBOX Live 3-Month subscription and a XBOX Live 1250 Points Card for $499. That pretty much adds up to $75 off.

I didn't know that any of Premium systems came with a game, I'm going to make some calls first. Most likely pick one up on Friday. Way ahead of the early Sep release of NHL 07!

It does look great, I might have to bite the bullet and become a "console" guy once again.... (geez and I took an oath and eveything, LOL)
Is there any PC pics yet?
