Default Madden 2007

For those who enjoy the Madden series...the newest addition is coming out tomorrow. And it looks to be pretty damn good.

I'm always excited come August because of all the NFL hype. From fantasy drafts to MAdden game coming out.

http://ps2.ign.com/objects/811/811803.html

I post the PS2 version because I've been told the 360 version will be lacking in features.

I for one will be getting the PC version...

Anyone else as addicted to this game as me?

I thought the 360 version was now full? Last year's Madden was stripped because it couldn't be completed and was supposed to be available at launch.

However, EA has admitted that there is a bug in the "fatigue" feature, and they will patch it after release.

I bought it today for the PS2. The PS3 version looks amazing, which sucks because they held back certain features in this game. However the Superstar mode is defintley wayyy better then last year and in my mind the highlight of the game. Lead blocking is fun too

Yea, sorry, not sure about the 360 version...

I picked it up today, it's pretty similar to last years. Although the AI is much better...the game has become more difficult in my mind.

The superstar mode seems pretty on par with last year as well.....I saw some combine stufff on the commercial but have yet to find it in the game..anyone find that stuff?? (Like running the 40 and doing weight reps, etc.)

All in all...still a great game. And as said above, lead blocking is...well interesting.

Still alot of things that **** me off about the game, I mean how many times in the real NFL do you see a 77 yard touchdown pass on the first play of the game, or I just finished a game with 2 kick returns for td and 2 td passes of 77 and 85 yards to finish the game.

I think the NFL combine stuff is when you do a franchise and you do the drafting and stuff, it keeps showing up during loading times, so I'm assuming that's it.

In Superstar mode at least for the PS2 when in training camp and in the rookies combine your able to do the 40 and other drills that relate to your players position. Not just same old boring mini camps.

Ratings have defintley taken a boost up this year, especially with rookies. Reggie Bush is an 87! I'm not sure I like QB Vision being locked if you play on the All Madden Skill Level, it should still just be an option. A small thing I really like in this year's game is they keep stats for your db's with how many times they're man has caught a pass.

??? Really?

I'm playing the Xbox (regular), and for the NFL combine, I just had the Running back drill, no 40s (I was an RB) or weight training or anything like that.

Oh, and superstar mode is definately different this time around, just wait until you get in a game. Especially as a running back, I enjoy it. It is a little strange to have very little control about what happens, but when you get the ball or go on a route, get open and they might find you.

Yeah when i do superstar mode, i get 2 workouts with a random team, then the combine.(which is the same as workouts just named differently) all the workouts affect your rating( i started with a 99 overall runningback). This is 360 so i dunno if its different then xbox.

Superstar mode is great this year, though i havent had any endorsments or movie roles yet, they should be coming soon i hope. It makes the game a ton harder especially at DB i was awful.

Superstar mode is great on 360... except I got drafted by the browns... ugh. I really wanted The Falcons to pick me. I'm a HB btw.

I got drafted by the Jets (I'm an HB too). I really like when they draft you they send you a pretty good reason too (Curtis Martin is 33 years old and we need a future back).

Still, Superstar mode is a huge improvement over last year. The ingame situations you get put in are really neat.

I just started a QB superstar.... I got drafted by the Texans...

Thier defense can't stop anything and their offensive line is the worst in football by a longshot and it definately shows.

Wow I'm finding it awfully tough to move an offense outside of the running game on all madden. Unless you got Manning who's QB vision covers almost all the field, it sure is tough. Not to mention the pass rush is much quicker in this game.

CaramonLS, are you playing as the defense yourself, because it makes things alot easier. But yeah i find the O-line sucks huge, the browns who apparantly rating wise have a good line suck, i get sacked like 2-3 times a game.
