Default I just lost all my bookmarks on Mozilla

Does anyone know why this happens? It has happened a few times in the past. My bookmakrs just disappear every now and then. It is very annoying and frustrating.

Off topic but related to mozilla

A few weeks ago I deleted all cookies, and now I can't seem to get it set up again to remember me at websites I frequent (such as CP). Anyone know what changes I need to make to allow the cookies I want?

Yep the bookmarks thing happened to me a couple weeks ago too. I needed to do a little housekeeping anyway but was a bit frustrating. On the positive side I lost about 5 expired ebay products.

I've been running into the same issue. It means I have to export my bookmarks every 4-6 days to my desktop. I also had the cookie erase issue with firefox. I had to reinstall it to get things fixed. There is an add in called google synce, which might help you out. It basically memorizes all your open tabs and pages so the next tiem you open firefox it returns you to where you left off.

Strange. I run FF on 3 different systems and have never lost my bookmarks.
Are the bookmarks.html and bookmarks.bak files both gone?

How do you back them up?

EDIT: Nevermind, I figured it out. Thanks a bunch guys!

thats could be dangerous if you are looking at porn and quickly close the browser and then it opens right back up when someone else uses the computer... would never be a problem i encounter though... just putting it out there

What extensions are you running?

There are a few extensions that will restore your session. TabBrowser Preferences does it, and I think there are a few that were created specifically to restore your session.

In the new 2.0Beta (the built in spell checker is great), if you do crash somehow, when it restarts it asks if you want it to restore your session.

This happened to me once when I used Netscape (probably version 6). I do not remember what caused the problem, but I remember knowing what caused the problem. I don't remember how I fixed it, but I fixed it. I do remember it having something to do with profiles.

Sorry, I'm not much help.
