Default Champions League Draw

The draw was conducted this morning and the headline has to be that Barca and Chelsea drew each other. Jose Mourinho yesterday expressed concern that his team was in Pot B of the draw while Arsenal, Man U and Liverpool were all in Pot A despite all three of those teams finishing behind the English champs. They seed the teams based on the past 5 years in European play, not domestic. I think Mourinho has a pretty good beef, but Im sure this is not the first time that something like this has happened and he should just shut his mouth. He is starting to be an absolute whiner.

Anyways, Barca and Chelsea will be good, I like the Inter-Munich matchup. Other matches that stick out for me in the group stage are Porto and Arsenal, Man U/Celtic/Benfica is sweet for me being a Benfica fan. Anyways, check out the draw here.

The group winners and runners-up advance to the knockout stage, with the third-placed side moving into the third round of the UEFA Cup.

First thing that comes to mind when scanning those groups is that the French teams got really really good draws.

Man U, Celtic, Copenhagen group should be great to watch. Atiba Hutchinson from our national team starts for Copenhagen and is one of our future stars, should be nice to see how he matches up against the big boys as he is a real important player for Copenhagen and will get alot of exposure.

Yeah they sure did. And I agree with Group F being a good one to watch. Group A as well should be impressive.
