Okay heres a different request, did anyone download this and try it? I downloaded it and never tried it and lost the key that was sent to me. I know every key was good for 10 installs does any one have a spare one I can use?

Wasn't very happy with it at all. Poor performance, lots of bugs.

However the new build that they've recently released (which is supposed to be publically available in September sometime) is supposed to be much better.

I've got a bad feeling about it though, Vista feels like Windows ME all over again.

Comments like that make me really happy i'm moving over to a mac.

I just wanted to try it for a day to see how it works before i wipe my machine for its new owner.

I know boot camp doesn't support Vista yet I'm sure Paralles does though.

I tried beta 1 and wow it was bad. Very similar in feel to XP, but with a lot of bugs. Supposidly this one is much better but I would not use this as my primary OS for at least a year after it comes out.

I'd hold off from Beta 2 for now. A build that some are calling pre-RC1 has been released to inside testers. So RC1 should be available to the public soon.

Windows Vista, which Microsoft continues to say will ship to businesses in November and will be available to others in January 2007, is expected to roll out as RC1 within the next few weeks. One analyst, however, bet that the date is even closer.

I haven't even tried 'any' copy of Vista yet, but knowing Microsoft, I don't doubt anyone here on this thread.

I'm a mac user and I'm to not really too hyped for Leopard. Other than Time maching and seeing how much difference Boot Camp will be from the Beta I'm using now. Spaces is just a rip off of Virtue Desktops. Nothing really is new in this build. I was hoping for visulization with windows, yet the final release has yet to be seen I'm hardly dubting we will get it. Here I come Paralles. Spaces isn't a rip off of anything. Its how Apple has implemented a feature that has exsisted elsewhere.

Vista does look good though I have to admit. The UI is a big improvement over XP. I have only seen it being used by someone else though. From what I have heard, it's the bugiest OS MS has released this late in a release schedule.

Virtually everything that they put into Leopard is taken from another third party software developer, I call that being a rip-off. Yes even Boot Camp, XOM was first to have the dou boot solution. Apple took other's ideas and incorperated them into OSX. They even did it with widgets as well, a few realeases ago(Konfabulator anyone). So I stand by my previous statement that what Leopard is offering is nothing new to the Apple comunity, that I havn't seen or used before.

The ones that want virtual desktops know where to get thrid party programs. What we really wanted was virtulization running a .exe (windows bassially in the background) file extention under the mac OSX, much like how OS9 was ported when the PPC chips were still common. I'm sure between now and the next realese of OSX (not leopard) some third party developer will find a way to do this and Apple will incorperate it in the next version of OSX.

First of all, the WWDC is for developers not users. A brief glimse was given into a few new features of OS X 10.5. Being that it was for developers, a greater emphasis was on Xcode 3.0 as well as technologies such as core graphics, universal binary applications, core animation and full 64 bit addressing that can take advantage of 4 terabytes of physical memory. These are far more important things then a few product enhancements and new features that competitive products and shareware have had for some time. WWDC is for developers and how development technology will benefit them not a preview of a GM OS X.
