10 Questions With A CPHL GM: MANGO!
(Due to it taking months since the last 10 Qs before Becky's, I thought two in one night wouldn't hurt.)
FINALY! 10 QUESTIONS WITH A CPHL GM
NAME: Sandra P
BIRTHDATE: August 22
BIRTHPLACE: Calgary, Alberta
1. Your picture on your team page doesn't do you justice. How'd that become what represents you in the CPHL?
First, that is very flattering. I just try to be who I am in this game. Above everything, I'm a huge hockey fan and a guess at the end of the day that's all that really matters.
2. You took over your franchise after one of the greatest CPHL GMs of all time dabbled with it. How hard is it to live in that GMs shadow?
You do what you can. I think the most important thing you can do as a GM is create your own identity. to tell you the truth, I think that's the best piece of advice I could give any of the newer GMs. You have to take control of the team and make them yours.
3. Better use for a Mango, eating or throwing at Noob?
Eating. I heart Noob and would never throw anything at him.
4. If you had a date with any player in the NHL, who would it be, and what would you do?
I have a feeling everybody knows which player I'm going to say - Marcus Nilson. Maybe playing mini golf and going rollerblading?
5. Finish the sentance: "The best GM other than myself in the CPHL is..."
KevanGuy, in trades, he's fair. He knows exactly what he's looking for and doesn't lowball the other GM. He is quiet trader, but constantly upgrades his team.
6. It was once said, "love is a battlefield". By using what you've learned as a CPHL GM, explain why love truely is a battlefield.
Because Pat Benatar said so. Honestly though, you have to think of now, rather than the future and make decisions that may hurt, but are for the best.
7. The most unique name in the CPHL, Preds GM - CPHL asks, "Whats an attactive, intelligent young women like you doing in a Hockey league with a bunch of nerds like Kevin Guy?"
Because I really love hockey...it is a huge passion in my life.
8. You're very philosphical. Time for the token rash question... but your kind hearted words can't bring me to bust it out. Are you always this calm and collected?
Not always. The beauty of the message board and MSN messenger is that you can hide your feelings pretty easily. I'm angered as easily as anyone else, but I try to ignore it and move on.
9. What would you rather do on a Friday night... Talk trade with MJK, or dream about Axel in a speedo?
I'll have to say talk trade with MJK and the hope that Axel doesn't mind.
10. The collective CPHL male contingint would like to know... do your feet hurt?
Umm...I'm not really sure how to answer this question. Yes?
Alright gang... First off, props to Sandra and Becky for the spur of the moment help getting this thing back up and going. Now, it should be manditory... but it's voting time!!!
Who's Next?
a) RT - Dallas Stars (Becky's choice, what a surprise)
b) Beerfund - Montreal Canadians (Sandra's choice)
c) JiriHirdina - Minnesota Wild (The new boss gets geared?)
Post your vote below.

You mean you can make trades and build your team without lowballing on every offer!!?!? Who woulda thunk!?!
Thanks for the compliment Sandra.

I would also like to extend this oppertunity to interview both "The Jerk" and "Eklunde". I know you fellers would like to keep your identities to yourselves, and your secret would be safe with me, but I like to do these things over MSN, to keep is as spontanious as possible. As those who have had the honor... It's worth being a part of the 10 Qs Club!
If these happen, they will be special interviews that will not impact the voting above.

They could create an account and use it on MSN just for the interview. It isn't that hard to do.
Would definitely be a fun read!

Yup that would work too. I will leave it in the more than capable hands of Protto and the mysterious duo.

That gives them too much time to think about their answers. All 10Qs have been off the cuff and spontainious. By sending questions to a 10Qs interview would be a blackeye on Sports Journalism everywhere.
