The Winnipeg Jets were finally able to land their enforcer for the upcoming season. The Jets have acquired Jody Shelley from the Bolts in exchange for prospect Kevin Porter. We really needed a tough forward to protect some of the smaller forwards we have. Jody should be able to do his job just fine.
In other news, in a seperate deal with the Bolts, the Jets have acquired forward Brad Richardson in exchange for Kyle Brodziak. And with the addition of Shelley it is expected that Jan Hlavac will be waived.
