Default Why do you want to be a (citizen)By-Law Officer?

I want to nail the idiot dog owners that don't pick up after there dog. $250.00 (I hope they raise this)
But I also want to hand out the up to $2500 fine for disturbing wildlife. Specifically for the goofy dog owners that release there fast dogs in a NO-DOG park just to scare a bunch of birds. Riley Park! With an huge off-leash area across the street!!

I want a commission $ and I will dilligently work to end these infractions in my neighbourhood.
I am taking on partners, what else can we end?

put up traffic cameras and impose heavy fines for people who cut into deerfoot on-ramps at the last second. i VERY frequently have murderous thoughts about the jackass who just cut in front of me when i'm taking memorial east to deerfoot north

Yeah , bad drivers, we could all be getting shot or killing fifty motorists a day if we were handing out those tickets.

By law officers with no guns and no way to pull over vehicles; enforcing laws like,...
You know ,like the fridge in my front yard or the abandoned truck in my back yard.
Or the rooster/chicken farm, I had one of them two doors down.
The block worked on it for five some odd years before I was there. Crazy. The fellow would get his wife to corral the flock and place them in the house.
The bylaw guy couldn't enter a domain, thus,..no proof.

Neighbours with 4 foot tall weeds in their yards.

I've even gone so far as to offer to help them with a day long weed a thon, but they say "yeah, I'll get around to it. Thanks though."

I know we are in a new neighbourhood, but this is now the 3rd summer that our houses have been built. I wasn't here for the first summer, but after I moved into my place the first thing I did was kill the weeds and started my lawn.

Call 311 or whatever it is and file a complaint. I would.

The problem with that is somebody may figure out who called; especially seeing as I asked if I could help them already. Then I have to live with these neighbours.

My wife has gotten into it with the neighbours on one side. It makes things uncomfortable.
