Default New Slayer CD

for those of you into this kind of music, they are streaming their new CD "Christ Illusion" on myspace right now: http://www.myspace.com/slayer

although i am not a huge fan of theirs, I gave it a quick listen and found myself enjoying some of their songs, the faster more uptempo "thrash/hardcore" stuff i guess it was, i personally enjoy heavier punk music

but i also found myself counting the seconds off the player until the next song, some of the middle tracks are dull and not my style, they drag on and on and on......

and the singer's voice got to me like a drill right to the temple

I saw them at an ozzfest a while back and they had a huge screen behind them with video of people being killed in weird ways and suicide bombs and stuff like that.

A little weird.

Sounds pretty good though.

Will be interesting to check out one of the most important metal bands ever, (up there with Black Sabbath and Metallica) though personally I had a hard time geting into them big time. Seasons of the Abyss album though is amazing.

I'll definately be buying this cd on Tuesday. I really like their new single quite a bit. I was kicking myself(not literally of course) for not going to Edmonton to see them on the Unholy Alliance tour. I hope they come to Calgary sometime next year.
