What a tacky ad, I'm thinking the Democrats might not like the voter backlash on this.

Polls have shown though, that you have to fight dirty to get attention nowadays. One of prospective voters biggest problems with Kerry was that he wasn't fighting back. This probably goes to say more about the citizens then the parties or candidates. I'm sure that educated voters despise this kind of campaigning, but it obviously still makes a huge difference, as with the Swift Boat ads. So then the question you have to ask yourself is, if educated voters hate this campaigning, yet it makes a difference, how many voters are 'educated'?

Clinton said one of his best stratagies was to be on the defensive, be prepared for anything they throw at you, don't initiate, but if they even glance in your direction, throw it back 10 fold.

Democrasy in the United States is broken. If this election isn't the final nail in the coffin I don't know what is.

Well, it's said they are fighting over less than 5% of the vote....so there's a number you can start with.
