OK, here's the first shot.
If he wasn't spending all his time and resources focusing on Iraq, he may be aware of the crap going on in the rest of the world.

True, but even when they weren't in Iraq they did nothing with Sudan, Somolia, Rwanda, Congo.

OK, but where would you choose to interfer?
Iraq, where there is a lousy but stable government that no longer was a threat to the west, although their own citizens had reason to be edgy or your African hotspots where open warfare and genocide is going on creating a breeding ground for terrorism.

I am not arguing with you.
What is your solution? They should start from the bottom up and work right to the top of africa. Remove all the weapons from the continent and get rid of these regional war lords and freedom fighters. If Europe hadn't just abondoned the continent back int he 1800's Africa would be a much different place today.

Good, than we know who to blame.
I'd start with getting rid of the arms dealers but this would be counter productive to the industrialized economies. You see war is good for the West and what's good for the West is good for the unnamed person we're discussing.

Knew it was coming, and sadly, I can't disagree.
Iraq HAS tied the US's hands, so obviously the UN should be taking a bigger role. Are they?

Good for the economy of the West, not the West in general. Keep it straight.
And the arms dealers are certainly making their fair share of dough.

It most certainly would be. But if you have a better suggestion by all means.
I am not saying this is the perfect way to deal with Afric but the current way of ignoring the entire continent is not working.
What do you think should be done?

Now you're catching on!
I don't believe it is good for the West's economy in the long run either but it is certainly good for Haliburton's economy.

Haha. The US. Damned if they do, and damned if they don't.
This 'breeding ground for terrorism'. Who are they planning to terrorize?

Ironic that the US is expected to police the world but get shunned when it makes war on another country. Now we want them to get involved in one nation making war on another. Don't get the UN involved they can't agree on anything. Maybe NATO.
I know this isn't politically correct but I wonder if the best solution in some of these conflicts isn't to not get involved and let them resolve themselves. Let the middle east fight it out and I bet in the end the region is more stable.
Sorry, feeling kind of mean today.

Kinda difficult to do that in the middle east, different countries have different allies in that region. There is also large quantities of a certain resource in that area.
