Lady in the Water
Just got home from seeing it...
I was a big M. Knight Shyamalan fan... Unbreakable ranks amongst my favorite films ever... I even thought The Village was OK.... But this... this is terrible.
Avoid this movie like the plague.

What was bad about it? Acting? Story?

I've felt that ever since Unbreakable and Sixth Sense, the stories have just gotten a real cheese factor, or big let down that has ruined his following movies. Signs was ok too.
I was thinking "Lady in the Water" would redeem him, but I guess not.

Acting is fine... just the story is boring and characters are REALLY bad.

I can't stand the ads for this movie. That stupid whispering... "lady in the water".
I won't see it just for that.

Yeah, the Village ruined it for me. I love Sixth Sense and Unbreakable. Signs was alright. I haven't see previews for this one. Anyone esle seen this one? Some more reviews would be nice.

I really liked Signs and the Village. Sixth Sense was fine, not my favorite, and I've been meaning to watch Unbreakable. I'm sure I will like Lady in the Water too.

Yeah, doesn't look so hot from the previews. I'll probably catch it in the cheap theatres as I did The Village.

saw lady this afternoon, I didnt think it was the worst thing I have ever seen, but it was definitely out there. You gotta watch this with an open mind and let your imagination do the work.

I haven't like Shyamalan's movies since unbreakable and for good reason.
This quote I pulled off Rotten Tomatoes sums it up nicely:
"Apologists for the categorically inadequate M. Night Shyamalan have their work cut out defending yet another cinematic killjoy from the 'auteur' whose high box office receipts do not reflect the ineptitude of his filmmaking skills."
