Zack Braff / Garden State Fans.. new movie!

Zach Braff has a new movie coming out this fall called The Last Kiss. I loved Garden State so I'll be checking this one out for sure.

Hey Kermit, I loved Garden State too, but this isn't the new Zack Braff movie you're waiting for.

Garden State was a Zack Braff movie because he wrote it, he directed it, and he starred in it. The Last Kiss is actually written by Paul Haggis (Crash, Million Dollar Baby) and directed by Tony Goldwyn (Last Samuri). Although thanks for the heads up for this movie anyways, it looks pretty good.

Braff is making another movie though, one that he will star in, direct, write etc..

I thought Garden State was so overrated. It was pretentious. How did this movie get such a cult following? Because it has a cool emo soundtrack? Zach Braff, aka Ray Romano Jr., is on the top of my wimpy celebrities I want to punch list.

It's a very good slice of life type of movie, I always am a sucker for those.. sideways.. about Schmidt etc.

The movie was too blaze for me, and I know that's what they were going for because of the whole depression aspect, but it just came off as pretentious to me.

Sideways had kind of a similar feel to it, with the main character being such a moping loser but it actually worked for me. Good movie. Same with About Schmidt.

Yes well it's a movie with Braff in it isn't it? Details...

It's going to have an Imogen Heap song on the soundtrack so I'm happy.

I'm really looking forward to this one, I really enjoy Zach Braff's subdued style of acting. It's very subtle but still powerful enough to gain your attention.
I think that's why a lot of people connected with Garden State, which was written and directed by Braff and it's something where he put a lot of his own quirkiness into.
The Last Kiss was written by Canadian Paul Haggis who has won the Oscar for best original screenplay the last two years in a row for Million Dollar Baby and Crash, so I hope that this is as good as his previous work.
