Can't Sleep... Clown'll Eat Me
so I'm having trouble getting to sleep tonight. Might be the caffine from the pop at the movies tonight, might be the heat, regardless I'm tired and unable to get some shuteye.
Any suggestions, techniques, remedies to get to sleep?

Get in bed, close your eyes, and hope for the best.

Watching TV in the dark always seems to help me get tired when I have trouble sleeping.
Edit: Another method I use to help relax me when I'm not in the mood to watch TV is listening to music on my CD Walkman.

Um...hmm...delicately...men typically fall asleep after...well, sex. Releases endorphins or some such thing that puts them to sleep.

Drink an insane amount of wine.
You might get sick, but you're guaranteed to sleep/pass out.

Watch the Movie "Santa Clause" with Tim Allen in it, works like a charm for me.

Roll up a six paper joint.
Sit back, light up and try to finish it all.
You will be out very quick.

Or you can watch that movie Contact with Jodie Foster. Man, what a snoozefest. The only part I found good was when she went though that wormhole and talked to her dad on the beach where the tide goes out instead of in.

Funny, those are two things that are guaranteed to keep me away.
I will watch TV for hours, like a zombie, almost in a comatose state, if Im tired.
As for music, Ive trained myself to stay awake with music; its the technique I use on the highways.

Those are the methods that I use nightly, though they didn't seem to work for me this time around as it's already early morning and I am still sitting here reading CP. I am contemplating just taking a walk and hoping that I am tuckered out by the time I get back.

Sleep's an ongoing problem for me. I sometimes find that if I try to do some work, I discover that I'm way more tired than I thought.
Other times (like tonight) I get way into my work and forget to go to bed. Yeesh, it's almost 4.

Just a bit of a twist on this one that I find works better.
Warm (not hot) milk with a bit of sugar or honey mixed in. Works like a charm!

I've found that now that I'm a bit older I can't have any caffeine after 5:00, or else I won't be able to sleep.
