Transformers Teaser Released
http://www.transformersmovie.com/
Precious little is revealed in this teaser, other than some of the background. With Michael Bay directing and Spielberg producing, my expectations are running high. Still, I was hoping to see how the robots would be rendered, but there's none of that in the trailer.
Bring on the Energon!

Yeah Michael Bay... Great.
Hopefully the movie will have an awesome Aerosmith soundtrack too.

Remember the soundtrack for the animated movie? That was awesome, the hair metal version of the Transformers theme was killer..

Oh yeah I remember that . And Orson Welles doing the voice of Unicron. Wow what a crappy movie. Killing Optimus Prime in the first 10 minutes and installing Rodimus Prime in the aims of selling a brand new toy line. Blech.

Wow, precious little is right... looks cool though. Funny how all my favorite tv shows/cartoons/movies/comic books as a kid are coming to the big screen (or back to the big screen in some cases).

They probably just landed there before heading to earth, I would guess.
All I have to say is, THEY BETTER NOT **** UP THIS MOVIE.
These represents my childhood, Transformers was my childhood. I had so many of them and watched all the cartoons.

Yeah man, it better be awesome..but I'd be more worried if it was a George Lucas film

Being a Michael Bay movie I'm willing to bet it's already ruined. Which is a shame because Transformer's was as big of a part of my childhood as X-Men was, and they ruined that for me with the 3rd movie.

I dunno, I enjoyed the Rock, and Bad Boys 1 was great.... The battle scenes of Pearl Harbour were great, so as long as Bay doesn't get too wrapped up in the romance scenes (they're robots...forget about it!) it should hopefully be awesome!
At least that's what I'm telling myself...

Alright! Gather round kids and I will tell you all you need to know.
For starters, www.tfarchive.com will have all your news updates for the movie. The Transfandom is of course being overly critical of the movie. A lot of the "TRUKK NOT MUNKY" G1 folks are bitter it isn't a direct re-hash of the originaly cartoon.
Some of us are keeping an open mind and waiting until it actually opens, however the motto for Transformers fandom is "If you like the product, you're not a fan."
It's expected to be the first movie in a line of as many as seven if they can run it for that long.
It will be it's own continuity based on the original Generation 1/2 product. There are going to be five or six robots aside in the first movie and NO mass-shifting (size changing via transformation). This latter rule (for the first movie only) caused Soundwave to be written out of the script to wait for the second movie after a large amount of fan complaints on Soundwave being four feet tall. The character was changed to a character named Sound-byte (apparently. He was dubbed "Kenny-Wave" by transformers fans after he gets repeatedly ****-kicked through out the script).
Need to know anything else, just ask and I can help. If you are interested in the transformers fandom I suggest picking up the new IDW comic which is heads and heels above Dreamwave's anime art, low-story, ****e.

Michael Bay gets no repects and it's bloody annoying. The guy knows how to do good action. The Rock was solid, Bad Boys had 2 very cool chase scenes and this was when Martin Lawrence was funny. Armageddon was absolutely over the top and ridiculous and the love angle between Ben and Liv was horrendous. Actually, I cant defend Armageddon the more and more I think about it. Pearl Harbour's attack scenes were awesome, the lenght of the movie and the really bad love sotry just destroyed that movie. Bad Boys 2 was crap, although the first highway chase scene was entertaining as hell despite the fact it was over the top. The Island was very underrated and actually was pretty good story with a good message and had great sci-fi action scenes. I know lots of people who didnt see the Island because Bay directed then I told them to watch it, and they liked it.
Don't get me wrong, I dont think Bay is the greatest director or even a good one, but he gets suck a bad rep its annoying. If you are looking for good action, there are not too many that are better. His best scenes are always his chase scenes, very cool.
So having said all that, Transformers will have good action, there is no doubt about that. If anything is gonna wreck the movie, it will be the script. I obviously dont know the story yet, so I cant comment. But if this movie is bad, it wont be because of Michael Bay.
