Prank Calling Revenge
Ok, so I had someone leave a really disgusting message on my cell phone voice mail the other night. I have the guy's name and phone number, and I'm wondering what to do.
Under normal circumstances I would just delete it, as I rarely get wrong numbers on my cell phone. But this message was really, really insulting, disturbing, (and sexual) in nature.
I was thinking about messing with this guy's mind, calling him back and saying I'm up for it and see if his mommy gives him ##### for it. I'm assuming the caller is young because, although he didn't sound like it at all, no self-respecting adult would be such an idiot! I hope.
Should I be a bigger person and ignore it or freak the guy out a little and call him back?

I'm sure if you we're to give a brief description of the dialogue some of the more twisted ( ) members (Fotze) could come up with some nice replies.
EDIT- you could also (assuming the kid lives at home) keep forwarding the message once or twice a day to the number until the parents check it, than when they recognized his voice the wrath of mom or dad comes down on him.

^^^ I guess I'm just being naive then
but really, half the things this guy said should not be in the vocabulary of a young person! Hell, those words shouldn't be in my vocabulary.
And if I wrote it out on here, mods would delete it asap, trust me.

If you had the time or desire you could always just continually phone him. Frequently at any time of the day/night and turn it all around on him. . . or just forget about it.

Am I understanding this correctly, it was a wrong number? If that is the case, then the message, however gross and sexual, wasn't intended for you. I would just delete it and move on.

I don't know if it was a wrong number or a prank call - I'm assuming a prank call, since my voice mail states who I am by name (not just the number) and anyone calling by accident wouldn't leave a message when it obviously wasn't the person they were trying to reach.

Apologize a million times or B. hang up and hope you don't phone back

Put a classified ad in the paper offering a relatively new(1990's) expensive car(Porsche, Benz, BMW) with 50,000 km for $5000 OBO. Say that it must be sold by the end of the week. Calls must be made from 10PM to 2AM, put his phone number in the ad. The kid will get hundreds of calls in the middle of the night.

Lombogirl, if you're PMing people with details, copy/paste to me if you don't mind. I'm bad for coming up with pranks, but I'm rarely pranked as I can one up whatever you can do
Depends on where you want to go with it, put an ad in the paper as stated above.
Go out to the bar, dress, "scantily" and give "your number" to every guy in the bar that takes even a second look at you.
Go to www.Canada411.com use "reverse number checker" to see if you can get an address, then go to a phone with blocked caller ID, order delivery from every place in the city to that address and give that number.

I miss prank calls. Giving and receiving. I remember being 13 and doing prank calls with a friend of mine. I think it was the first time that I cried from laughing so hard. Then the Maestro phone was invented and the classic prank call was crippled.

I like the responses about placing ads in the bargain finder etc. I still remember the last prank call I ever made when I was about 12 or 13 thanks to caller ID. Man was I ever in trouble, and of course all the jokes were on me for any family dinners during Christmas or Thanksgiving.

I disagree with this. As somebody who used to work in the pizza business, it really is more of a prank on the restaurant than the person you are planning on pranking.
Who here has never had to wait an extra long time for pizza or food delivery? I'm guessing it's happened to most of us. The thing is, many times when your order is late, it's because the previous order was a bad one; which involves trying to see if the address is wrong.
The one thing in all of this- if it was a wrong number he likely has no idea what your actual number is. By pressing the issue you risk escallating it, and giving him your number.

I'm sorry, I thought I was calling EasternGirl, not Lombogirl.....
Seriously though, just call him back and turn the tables. Talk about the freakiest things you can think of. Animals, vampire love, stuff like that.

I think the classified is the idea... something cheap or even the BMW thing... but the call time... that is so awesome... But if its his house number... his parents might get ****ed off...
