Man talk about the Calgary Sun being a crappy no brain paper for your dog to crap on..
They have her being rescued by the US Army...
http://www.canoe.ca/NewsStand/CalgarySun/N.../23/639942.html

while the Herald have here negotiating with the terrorist herself and convincing him to let her go.
http://www.canada.com/calgary/calgaryheral...8a-5458ba1dafef

Considering both have quotes from her family how can it be so different???

Easy. She persuaded her captor to let her go, and was later picked up by a US Blackhawk.

Yeah, I noticed headlines this morning, with the Herald's headline something like "Calgary Woman Escapes Beheading", while the Sun's headline was "Calgary Woman was Tortured in Iraq," or something to that effect.

The Herald article is definitely a much better article. After reading the one from the Sun I was still baffled at how she got free. They missed the whole part about her negotiating with her captor and simply said she appeared in the headlights of a jeep near a US helicopter. They dropped the ball on this story.

Perhaps the Sun needed the extra space to announce "All Natural Week" at the Maid, or squeeze in that bankruptcy laywer's ad working out of a Forest Lawn pawn shop.

The Sun rarely has writers on news stories...its a cut and paste job from all sorts of cheapo newswires it seems.
