Default Pengrowth Stampede Luncheon
Just wondering if anybody knows whether this will be going on this year. I went to it 2 years ago and it was a blast. I looked on their website but couldn't find any info. I know they usually have it on the first Sunday of Stampede. Free food and beer and live musical acts. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, it is happening again. It will be the 25th year they've done it. It's at the CEO's house so I know that his neighbours are generally invited but I am not sure if it is wide open to the public...

Beverly Mahood often performs if she is in town.

Mind if I ask how you got the invite two years ago?

It's to do with Pengrowth the company...so if you have an in with the oil company you would get an invite...not a Flames function.

Pretty much. I don't think it's meant to be an open invitation unless you're a friend of a friend, who's friends with Pengrowth. Or unless you work with company that does business or is an affiliate with Pengrowth. I just so happen to fall into both of those categories.

In the mid-90's in London (Ont), she used to host Karaoke at O'Brien's on Commissioners East 2 nights a week. I' not a fan of karaoke(I can't carry a tune in a bucket) but some days you just gotta have a beer.
