Bonded Contractors - Tips?
I'm about to start some kitchen renos on my place and have lined up a contractor to do them. The deposit is a rather large amount so I'm just wondering what I should do to protect it.
I've got plans to check for references and the BBB but I know they are also bonded for deposits.
What should I do to double check on the bonding agent? Phone to see amounts, ask to see what would cause them to release payment to me? Any advice or experiences would be appreciated! Thanks!
