Does he not have a 1w contract?

That being said I am not sure He will report and in fact may demand a trade

1w contracts mean tha IF he is waived to the farm his entire CPHL salary counts against the farm cap...in other words hes paid his CPHL salary.

"This is crazy I want out of the Flames organization and I want out NOW"

This is a messge I receieved on my Blackberry.

Therefore we ask that "old man" Axel release my client ASAP so that we can test the UFA market. Rated 70OV it would make for a pretty good back up to some teams.

a) who in the world gave Brian a one way contract?

b) you can demand to have him traded all you want but right now, he stays on waivers

c)agents, you think you got all the power, well poo poo on you...:baby:

Yeah, even with the money being thrown around, I still think Boucher would be in tough to get what he's currently paid on the open market as a free agent. I need a starting goalie, but I'm not that hard up for a backup. If Boucher does clear it looks like he'd be bought out anyways as he'd be taking up 2.9 million of the Omaha Knights 3 million dollar cap. If Axel can find 19 guys and get them to play for 100k between them than I'll have to give him props.

'tis an interesting situation to be sure. If he does clear waivers and Axel chooses to release him he will cost 0.5*CPHL salary (since its a one way deal)*2 years. So in other words 2.9 million...ouch.

One wonders if a couple years down the road if we'll see similar situations with some of the big one way contracts that have been signed. A big contract on a one wayer can really put a team in a financial bind if they are not careful

Best thing for both parties would be for him to get claimed. It shall be interesting to see how this plays out.

Well with no watchdog on, and the buyout taking out this fiscal years cap, it won't hurt Axel at all. He'll simply be able to use the loophole, I mean it's not like he'd be anymore over cap than he already is. He just uses the money he's paying Boucher now to buy out two years and he's the same money wise and just has one less roster player.

I am not adverse to redoing his contract either. I am however concerned that this the way the Flames organization treats it's players and will have to reconsider any siginings with them in the future

Well thats more than fair. I mean sounds like Axel needs to learn to be nicer to agents.

BTW I think CPHL Agents are among the greatest people on Earth.

A loophole us AGENTS should try to close

Don't forget Becky, and her (mis)treatment of budding stars like Spezza, who she claimed to have big plans for, only to trade him a day later... Don't worry though, if you forget, I'll be sure to remind you...

LOL, you kidding me, looks like you make out a hell of a lot richer. Not only did you get your cut from his contract the first time, you'll be getting a second cut on his new contract after the buyout. Why would you want to close a loophole where you're getting your hand in the players pocket twice in the same amount of time.

Know wonder why for some reason you don't deal with me, you can't see the forest from the all the trees

Me N Marty McCree have a fine working relationship. You can try to poke holes in it all you want Noob. It won't work, since I am a good GM to work with. Spezza and his agent didn't mind the move to Pittsburgh, where Goffie does everything for Spezza including nightly foot rubs.

And Patty Marleau is very happy to have been the kingpin the deal.

So you Mr Noob, and your little dog Fifi, can stuff it.

This is true but it does make it easier for GM to get out of a bad contract. I for one would like to make it harder for them to get out of a contract. Money is not everything you know
