Default help from all you drivers in calgary

hi my name is paul, and i been browsing these boards for a while, im from bc, but im gonna be coming down to calgary on wed and thurs, im gonna bring my cuzin down cuz hes gonna be moving to calgary to live and he wants to go early and get his L. and of course were gonna party hard in ur city. but im from bc and i dont know anything about the driving tests or nothing. can anyone tell me how it works? u take a written test, and then u get a licence after how long, learners licence. and then how long after can u take the road test in to get your full licence. can someone please help me with this. what else is there to know? thank you

Basically, you take your learners test and if you pass it (you can only get 3 answers wrong...if im not mistaken) then you will get your learners permit. If you take the test when you ate 14, then you will have to wait 2 years until you are eligible to take your drivers test. If you take it at 15, you only have to wait one year, because you need to be 16 and have your learners for one year until you can take the drivers test. Theres not much more to know, but make sure that if you let your cousin drive if he passes his learners, then someone 18 years or older with a valid drivers licence is in the front seat of the car with him.

I think this is all the old system... there is a graduated system in place now (see link above).

Im 15, and thats what everyone goes by. On our learners lisences, it says GDL learner.
