Crazy Russian Car Crashes

Here's some footage from a traffic camera mounted in a tunnel in Russia. There must be a sharp corner coming in or something -- either that or Russian drivers are just crazy. The bus with the split in the middle is pretty nuts:

Drivers in eastern europe are nuts, man (and russians are the craziest of em all). Showing off and driving like a maniac in your western car has become quite the norm, and thus the roads are quite dangerous.

Yikes maybe the government should go back to the old strategy of every 10 years you qualify for another Lada, and nothing else.

Actually, the problem with this tunnel (in Moscow I believe) is that it is long (3.2 km) and goes under a major body of water. When the temperature hits about -40C sometimes patches of black ice form on the road surface.... Apparently this video footage is all from the same day.

You see that Lada at the end that flipped over? - It appears the gastank ruptured...

I think it was the rear window shattering?

Not sure if it's ice or not, but some of those seem to start with the drivers getting suprised by a slow vehicle.

Ha ha! That bus is part is the funniest thing I've seen in a while. Imagine sitting at the back of that thing. Talk about a wild ride.

That bus was pretty nuts... its was crazy!... At first, I thought it was faked cuz cars don't usually go out of control like that...

oh ya... one more thing... The 2 trucks that are somewhat between the middle and end of the video... I only saw one and the other one came out of no where.. what is up with that?

I just watched it again. I think you're right, something definitely ruptures at the end there and liquid spills out of the car. I'm assuming its gas... I wonder why it was propelled out with such force?

I guess there's nothing built like a Lada

I'm 100% sure that's the rear window. Safety glass explodes into small cubes just like that. You can see the window pop out of its frame, and break over the rear driver side corner of the trunk.

Yeah, and it looked like he kept going as well!!! I mean, why stop? You've got a timetable to keep!!
