Oh yeah....had this thread before...cant remember overall choices.
Its the worst form of "music"<sic> ever developed.
The entire generation of gangstas and Wiggers make me puke.

Now the good thing that came of it is "some Hip Hop" that actually has music and rythym. Its closer to the R & B side than cRAP.

I love this game. Can I start?

<insert music genre> sucks. So do people who listen to it. If you don't listen to my genre you have no musical taste.

Just because I wear pink pants does that make me gay? Or is it just my preference to wear pink pants?

I'm not a fan of the rap genre.

The only song I actually like is Regulators by Warren G (and not because it is actually "good music"). Otherwise I just do not enjoy Rap.

That is all.

Well you may or may not be gay but from what I've learned from the Simpson's you are likely clinically insane. Although pink is the new black. . . what colour will be the new pink? Maybe I can get a head start on the trend this time.

On the right guy and with the right shade of pink, it's pretty hot, IMO anyways.

I think rap hit its zenith in the late 1990's. Right around the up in smoke tour...

'Gansta rap' at least...

I am a fan of some rap but most is garbage. Over produced and every song is the same thing over and over again. I love hip hop mainstream and underground.

Favourite hip hop: wu tan clan, redman, jedi mind tricks, sean price, killah priest, roots, and so on.

Rap: 2pac, Bone Thugs n Harmony

Least favourite rap: 50 Cent, G-Unit, Eminem, The Game, Nelly, Chingy, too many to name.

I don't think you can just say the entire genre sucks. But the genre seems to have become really predictable, and has lost authenticity. I guess you can say the same about rock music though. Popular music in general seems to lack quality these days.

What does that have to do with anything? You bring up a couple ****ty Ludacris lyrics and tell me there's nothing intelligent being said in rap. I prove you wrong. Now you're just re-stating that you did listen to rap? I really don't get where you're going with this because... wait... what was it... ohh yeah! You're NOT going anywhere with this! You're going to say nothing good has come of the music in the last 5 years, and then when I show you that plenty has, your counter-argument is that you listened to rap BEFORE that!? Not only are you not making any sense, you're just making yourself look dumber by the second. Call me ignorant because of that? Haha, go right ahead!

Then you claim that you never said all rap sucks? Your exact words were "Man, rap sucks." You're telling me people are going to look at that and say "Ohh right, rap sucks, but that definetly doesn't mean that rap music sucks. That must mean that only a part of it sucks. It also means that alot of it is insightful and thought provoking. Yeah. Yeah, that's what he means by 'rap sucks'." Again, you've just displayed how stupid you really are. If I come out and say "white people are idiots". Hey, I didn't say that ALL white people are idiots, so yeah, that can't have been what I meant. God, why would anybody even think that, or be upset by it? If they have anything to say about me saying they're idiots, they must be blowing it out of proportion.

Man. You really like stereotyping don't you? How about, I take a whole bunch of white people out of europe, outlaw the language they speak, their religion, and any other cultural rituals, then convert them to a religion of my choosing. Then, I dehumanise them to the point where they would want their skin colour to be the same as mine because I've taught them that they are inferior. Then, have half of them die from disease because they're living and sleeping in their a small room with their own excrements while I drag them across the ****ing ocean on a boat. Then, with those who survive, how about I sell them to people who will beat them and overwork them? Then, generations later, when I eventually free them, and they have absolutely nothing in their pockets, no reperations of any kind regardless of what's been done to them and their ancestors, and everybody around them sees them as scum, how about I expect them to abide by the rules of my government?

You are an idiot.

Wow, you really are stupid. I really didn't think I'd have to elaborate. What I meant was, your attack on rap was an attack on art that has importance to a culture you don't belong to and that you don't understand. When I told you to attack Kung-Fu, essentially, I was saying, "Why not chinese people next?"

On topic, I personally don't like the vast majority of rap. I don't identify with a lot of the stuff and I'm not gonna pretend otherwise. I would much rather listen to some Taj Mahal or something than the latest Chingy piece of ****. Actually now that I think of it I like songs with good harmonies and melodies. Rap or hip-hop just doesn't have these elements (to me anyway). For example I've been listening to "Jason Collett - We all lose one another" pretty much non-stop the past month while nothing from the hip-hop world has peaked my interest since The Roots - Phrenology.

Gangsters make you puke huh? Man, I bet you love Scarface, Goodfellas, Casino and all those other gangster movies that don't involve black people. But regardless of your preference, you can go right ahead and blame the Italians for that, because the first gangsters had nothing to do with hip hop.

Wiggers? You're going to blame rap music and all the black artists for making music and wearing clothes a certain way that white people tried to immitate?

I really think people around here should stick to talking about hockey.

"Rap" and "Intelligent" don't belong in the same sentence.

And SoZe, stereotypes are around for a reason, live with it.

Rap is not a black or white thing, thats a huge stereotype and shows how ignorant some people are. There are asian, black, white, latin, middle eastern, and everywhere in between rappers. Rap and hip hop is all over the world. The majority of crap they shove down are throat on the radio and tv is a small percentage of rap world wide.

I like rap. I also like hip hop.

I'd much rather be in a club where they're playing hip hop/rap or house (actually, house is awesome!), than a club that's playing country music or rock or metal.

However, this is just a personal choice. I don't claim to be a music expert, and I don't think that metal sucks. It just doesn't appeal to me.

Like I said, I like Rap but you have to admit, a large portion that fit in that culture have criminal records. Many of them are or become the culture that the sing about and a lot of it involves violence.
