Default Lethbridge Road Gap (mtn bike)

I was just sent this over email, and it's WAY too insane not to post.

This is a road gap near the sewage plant in Lethbridge that is apparently called "straight flush". To the best of my knowledge it had never been attempted, and from what I've been able to garner this guy is the first one to grow the stones for a run at it. Sizes kinda vary, but I've heard the gap is aroung 40 feet in height by almost 70 in length. Hard to tell exactly, but it's MASSIVE.

The landing is less than impressive though.....

LOL

I'll never understand the hucker mentality as long as I live. Yeah, it looked really cool when you cleared ->>insert obstacle here<<-- How did it feel healing for 6 months and all the subsequent visits to therapy?

He was probably thinking that he'd at least get a BJ out of it or something.

I know the guy that filmed that. After that video cut the camera man screams out "Oh ****" then asks "Can you walk?" hehe. I'm not sure how to post the whole video but it really makes it quite funny. Anyway, apparently the kid that took the jump was fine.

Right by the train bridge is the Widowmaker. Nearly straight down for quite some distance (3/4 height of the train bridge). I've only heard of a small handfull of guys who have done it. IIRC there isn't much room for stopping at the bottom either. I've stood at the top of it and it looks quite intimidating.

I've **** my pants losing my footing near the edge and nearly falling over it. Ya, they don't call it the widowmaker for nothing.

Do you know who the rider was? It didn't look like Johnny Korthius or Andrew Sherry. I sponsor those crazy buggers with Helmets and Body armour so hopefully they can get up and walk away from an ownage like that.

I'm not sure off hand who the rider was but this happened early last fall if I remember correctly. Looks like your gear does the trick .
