I bought it over the weekend (talk about a mad rush to get this game) just about every place I called was sold out.
Now playing the game it was incredibly fun, but holy crap is it short for an RPG.
Doing some (probably half) of the side quests I was shocked to see the game not last more than 11 hours.
The vast majority of the game play was fighting (this being said I had Loads of fun playing it).
Other than that it was an amazing RPG for xbox - really only a few things they could have improved on (aside from the length) to make it better.
Graphics/storyline is amazing, the fighting it really good (plenty of new ground breaking ideas from Microsoft on this), character customization is amazing as well as the good/evil ideas.
If it was maybe 2/3x longer it probably would be the best RPG to come along in a long time.
My Suggestion: Rent it and beat it. Don't bother buying it (although 60$ for xbox isn't bad).

Fable's a highly anticipated game. However, for all the people that kept hearing about the things that were going into this game, 1/2 of them didn't, so for those people the game won't live up to expectations. With that said, if you hadn't ever heard of the expectations this game had, after being delayed for so long, then you will for sure enjoy this game. Combined with Halo, this game will be the reason I go out and buy an X-Box.

Yeah, I really love it so far.....I haven't finished it yet.
The character customization and personalization adds such a cool dimension to the game, I am really enjoying playing.
Even if it is a tad short, I think the re-play value should be pretty good just to see how making some decisions differently will change the character.

Looked cool, one of the only times I wished I had an Xbox. (PS2 owner)
But that short? Ugh. Would have to be AT LEAST 3x longer. I grew up on the Final Fantasy franchise, played the original on the original 8 bit NES. I love RPGS. But you don't wanna finish them to easily.

Yeah it is THAT short.
I didn't do a couple of the side quests (did most of them) but Finished the game in 10 Hours.
Its definately not RPG length, which is too bad because this game has lots of Amazing features which leave you wanting more.
Having played FF3 for 15 hours straight getting only experience in the TRex Forest, I want more!! (then I realized Caltrops had 10k XP per and they were in the desert and had 6HP - grrr I was p*ssed).

Anyone play Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic?
Now that is an Role Playing Game! Deep storyline, alot of characters, fleshed out characters, and a big huge story arc to go along with it. It was a very engrossig game, and had a very rewarding finish.

Anyone know of any good cheat sites or walkthru's to this game (Fable) yet?
My buddy's roommate (apparently not much of a gamer) is going to buy a freaking book to teach him how to get through it. I told him to hold off and I'd get him some links (he doesn't know how to use the internet very well either but he does have a brand new computer).

I got it free with Doom 3. I'm not a Star Wars fan but I do think it's a cool game. The thing I hate though is every 5 scenes or so it crashes back to my desktop.

That is weird, its such an enjoyable game.
I thought Doom 3 sucked, it was just the same thing over and over again.
