anyone in the shipping business and lives in Winnipeg?
wow, how else to phrase that.
I found the Seadoo I was looking for, but its in Winnipeg.
Anybody living in Winnipeg that might be coming to Alberta any time soon?
Anybody in the shipping business that might be able to assist?
just trying to avoid the long trip to Winnipeg to go pickup the unit.
thoughts?

Having something like that shipped would be incredibly expensive vs. driving down to get it. (At least I would think it would be.)
If you wanted to do a road trip- I was debating going to Winnipeg at some point in the next month.

well, i am in the shipping business, but dont live in Winnipeg.
Canadian Freightways might give you a good rate, but honestly as an individual shipper, you wont get much attention.
You will need to be able to tell them how much it weighs and what the length, width and height are. I also suggest you dont simply ship it loose, you should have a small crate built for it, or you are likely to land up with shipping stickers on the piece. The warehouse and driving crews of these companies arent always the sharpest crayon in the pack.
At the end of the day, you might find the 1 day drive to Winnipeg less of a headache than trying to be an ad hoc shipper with a trucking company.
good luck!

CN is that much because they dont want little shipments. it would probably cost that much to send 1 or 5, its a minimum charge AND you are not a contract client, so like I said, you wont get much attention.
did you try CF (Canadian Freightways?)
If you post the estimated weight and dimensions, i will try and get you an estimate.
