Worst Movies
On the advice of my Director, I attempted to watch 'What the ... do we know?'
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0399877/
Depsite the obvious New Age overtones I tried to watch the movie but gave up when John Hagelin (Phd) started describing his work in which he had 4,000 volunteers regulalry meditate in order to bring down the violent crime rate in Washington by 25%. According to his 'analysis', violent crime rates fell by 18% (of course, violent crime rates fell only relative to his own dubious statisitical forecast of crime rates whereas, in reality, homicides actually increased in Washington that year. For this scientific study, Dr. Hagelin was awarded the IG NOBLE Prize in 1994 ( http://www.improbable.com/ig/ig-top.html).
Anyway, sorry about the rant. I was wondering if anybody else has seen the movie and what they thought about it. And, more generally, what the worst movies are that they have seen.

Curious about this topic one day, I searched IMDb and came across some film called "Manos: Hands of Fate". It sounds pretty bad...
Anyways, the worst movie I've ever seen was when I was watching some stupid horror flick on the Scream channel called "Pumpkinhead 2". Dumbest.movie.ever I swear. I want those 2 hours back!

I tried watching what the bleep do we know as well, on advice from a co-worker.. I made it through about 10 minutes.
The single worst movie I have ever seen is Freddie Got Fingered... I know its an old one.. I saw it in the cheap theaters when they were still around and still $2. I could have dropped the 2 bucks down the sewer and gotten more value from sound of it clanking around than I did by watching that trash.
The only reason I didnt' walk out the theater is I wasn't driving that night and wouldn't have had a way to get home.

My friend rented it and said he heard that it was a very good movie. I looked at the box and was thinking "Meh, but if you heard it was good.."
The best part was when I fell asleep for the last 30 minutes.

Agreed...absolute garbage film.

Malibu's Most Wanted, by a country mile.
Do yourself a favour and never see it. My situation was identical to that of @theCBE. I had nowhere to go, and an extremely stubborn friend who tried to convince me it was worth my $5 to see Jamie Kennedy's utter garbage.
I slept through the last 3/4 or so.

Very Very Bad;
Wagons East: Total dung heap. Friend still ribs me for dragging him tot hsi movie. A very big disappointment as it was John Candy's last movie.
Alexander... sniff, sniff, sniff...If Alexander really was this wimpy and weepy he would have been eaten by his father. Nevermind the BS homo scenes.(Stone should be stoned to death for this crap)
Star Wars Prequils: The Attack of a Big Ego and a Bad Story!
Magnolia(Not sure if this is the full name..not that I care): How did this movie ever win an award? 3.5 hours of boredom!
HighlanderII: Sequil to one of my more favourite rental movies..... You could at least follow the original idea...

Magnolia was ****ing bad...Unbelievable. I walked out of it and straight into The Hurricane (Story of Ruben Carter) and loved it.
Mulholland Drive was pretty bad. I was hoping it would somehow tie itself together, but it basically did everything to confuse the viewer more...
I swear I knew more about what was happening before it started than when it ended...I still don't understand what it was about or the point of it, really.

War of the Worlds re-make, was by far the worst movie of 2005. Such a letdown.

Mulholland Drive was pretty bad, apart from the naked woman scene of course.
As was Magnolia, although Cruise had a funny line or two in that.
Just saw War of the Worlds, pretty laughable.
I actually watched House of 1000 Corpses the other day which was shockingly bad and rediculously unscary or even tense in any way.
Oh yeah totally with you on Highlander II.
Can't agree with SW prequels though

Um we made a plan eons ago and travelled from the other side of the galaxy but we didn't factor in a vacince for the common cold!
Guess that's what comes from 50's remakes.

the two movies that immediately come to mind are Natural Born Killers and Zoolander. The Big Bounce gets a dishonourable mention (how can you make a bad movie with Morgan Freeman in it?)

Rabid Grannies was bad even for a Troma flick. Worst one ever though Kiss meets the Phanthom of the Park, took me a week to watch it but I made it through the whole thing.

I downloaded Catwoman, and even then felt I was ripped off...
Unbreakable was unwatchable.
Highlander III was the worst of that series. Highlander II at least had one good scene when Connor and Ramirez were arguing over who got shot more. III had no redeeming qualities, whatsoever.
I didn't mind Troy, but Alexander was three hours of torture. Ugh.
