Burger Inn or Peters?
So ive been having a bit of a debate with a couple fellow calgarians over the past few weeks, my friends think that Burger Inn has the best burgers in the city, while ive been a die hard fan of Peters for ages, i just avoid the e-coli shakes...
So you tell me?
Whats better?
Burger Inn or Peters?

e-coli shakes? I never had them but heard their milkshakes were good. What's the story behind that one?

sorry...Burger Inn for me...great fries there....
Peter's burgers are really flat-literally....I loved their shakes-until the e-coli strike (still not sure how you get e-coli in a milkshake)....

last year or two years ago there was an e-coli outbreak with some of the Peter's Milkshakes (Marshmallow flavour I believe). A few people got sick...

Burger Inn for me. I got food poisoning from Peter's pretty bad about 6 years ago and haven't been back. That is fine with me though, I never really enjoyed thier burgers.
Burger Inn is great because there are more options then just cheese and bacon. Trying the ostrich burger was pretty cool.

I tried the Burger Inn a few days ago for the first time and it was quite good (although next time i wont just say " oh, everything i guess" when they ask me what I want on it).
Something about that bbq sauce on Peter's Burger's though.....its so bloody addictive. As long as you don't get relish, It's hard to beat a double with cheese from that place.

Burger Inn has better burgers than Peter's by a country mile. I like the "all animals of the world" philosphy.

A couple of related notes/question
Has anyone tried the Kobe Beef Burger at Burgerin Inn. Its $14.99 and I'm tempted to give it a whirl one day. For 15 bucks its gotta be good
Some other great lesser known burger joints in town:
- Giant Burger, on 17 ave (formerlly Robins Burgers)
- Burger Burger in Esso Plaza
- Boogies
And the latest discovery...the burger joint in the food court at Westgate Mall. I think its called Extreme Burger. They make a damn good burger.

I guess the question is how often do people buy it, and therefore, how fresh is that meat?
I have always wanted to try a really expensive burger just for the hell of it though. There is this one restaurant around here that has kobe beef burgers with shavings of truffles on top....I think it comes out to like 70 bucks or something. It's sort of been a dream of mine to try that place out one day ( I know, some people dream of curing cancer, and here I am dreaming of ground beef).

there's two locations for Burger Inn - one just off of four street on 18th ave sw - across the street from Hanna Sushi....definitely give'em a try....a TON of food with their single combo for 5.35
don't know where the other one is...
anyone try the Burger place that is in a motorhome (one of those old silver airstreams)? its off of Blackfoot Trail somewhere, but I've never made it there - supposedly very good....

Big 'ol red school bus? That's Rockys.
Good but you best bring your appetite. Burgers are huge. Too big for my liking to be honest...the beef/other flavor ratio is a little off. But I enjoy it for a change and its definately a "must try".
