GAME 7....HERE WE GO AGAIN!!!
It was a ugly win but at this point we will take it anyway we can. Mike Dunham was again less than spectacular but still managed to outplay his counterpart Curtis Joseph. Todd Bertuzzi continues to carry Detroit on his back when the games mean the most. In the last couple of games the Wings have received most of there offense from the teams third and fourth line. Up next will be another huge game 7 vs the Minnesota Wild. A team that for the better part of two regular seasons has completely owned Detroit. "Ive gotten so damn sick of losing to this team that a game 7 win could erase all that from our memory." Id like to say that the next game will come down to who's goalie plays better but if you take the last few game into account they both reek. It will be a matter of what team's forwards can pound the most rubber.
After the game the Wings coaching staff received some great news. Forward Steve Konowalchuk who has missed all but a handful of games was announced healthy to begin playing. Konowalchuk could help boost the third line and will see some ice time on the power play as well. It is not yet known who will draw the short straw but early indication is former Wild player Darby Hendrickson or post season disappointment Shawn McEachern would be the most likely choice.
