We've never done a last minute deal. Thinking of a couple weeks in Mexico next winter. Of course the obvious is to shop around and put some money down on a deal for the place and time, in order to get what you want. But, are the savings quite substantial enough to wait and take a chance on booking something as close to what you want a couple weeks in advance of going? Obviously you'd have to be flexible and expect you might not get the suite, or even the resort you want, but I'm wondering if savings are worth trying it?
I'm thinking that you might not even end up in the same country planned if you already have your time booked off work, and are looking for the best available deal at a nice, warm resort somewhere on a beach. Sort of like sticking your hand blindly in a gift bag. You know your probably gonna get something good, but dont know what!

here's some thought on that process.
last year was one of the busiest years for the travel industry in recent memory.
if you have your heart set on going to a particular place, then you may want to start makign arrangements now to go. some people were left out in the cold, so to speak, when they wanted to go to a particular destination and there was no space available.
if yuo dont care where you go and dont care when you go, then last minute specials can of course save yuo some money.
but again, if you have a specific destination in mind and you have a set date in mind, then you would want to start looking at booking soon.
most times you just require a depost and final balance isnt due until 45 days before departure.
and well, know this too, that if I can be of assistance to you, I will surely give you some great pricing.
thanks
