MP3 players (non-ipod) that are compatible with iTunes?

Hi all -

I was wondering if anyone is using a MP3 player (non-ipod) that is compatible with iTunes. If so, could you let me know the make and model of your MP3 player? I've tried looking online but I'm not having much luck.

I'm looking for a player that does not need to run on the proprietary software that comes with the players. I've found that all the RCA players will only work with Music Match.

I could be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure itunes will only work with an ipod.
