I know I wouldn't sell my tickets at face value unless I absolutely had too... Honestly. I don't think i'd sell them for $1000 tonite.

Scalpers are a different breed though, they do it as a business. Get a real job you bums.

Disgusting people, no doubt about it. A person has to a a real peice of crap to rip off someone like that.

At the same time, people need to control themselves and not pay those scumbags.

just to be a ######bag,

scalpers are actually only doing what the economy dictates. Prices are not in equalibrium right now, so they're just correcting the market forces.

If anything I'd think that the ultra-right wing conservatives would be in favour of this, and NOT the left-leaning Nova Scotians (scalping is legal here).

(with that said... I don't like scalpers either)

i disagree ... i dont understand why people have such a problem with it. they own something (perishable I might add) and if there wasnt a market for the price, they wouldnt get it.

i am allowed to goto Future Shop and buy an XBox 360 and resell it for whatever the market will give me if I am so inclined, I dont understand the principle behind the difference?

no, i am not a scalper, never have been and dont intend to. but i just dont get it. i think the only reason is because you feel you should be able to go at the expense of a free market.

Nothing evil about it at all. As long as there are people willing to pay more, there will be scalping. In my opinion, there is absolutely nothing wrong with it.

If one doesnt like scalpers, dont buy from them. Its pretty simple.

^^ I disagree. One scalper who I was talking with at the begining of the season had bought 100 season tickets; just so he could scalp them. Multiply that by a few scalpers, and all of a sudden you see why some fans couldn't buy the tickets they wanted.

I've said it before and I'll say it again; normal market fluctuations do not apply; as unlike most every other consumer good we purchase there is a finite supply of tickets. We can always produce more food; generate more energy, or manufacture more goods. If the Saddledome is sold out; then it's sold out.

I've heard scalpers talking about the routes they take to hit as many Sport Cheks as possible when tickets go on sale. Which means they guy hoping to take his 3 kids to the game and keep it around $100 for a night out is SOL.

It would be one thing if the guys saying "Who's selling tickets"- if they were only buying from the public. Buy them from me at face value and re-sell them for more. It's another thing when then demand that they are supplying is created by them removing the initial supply.
