Default Annoying co-worker thread

So talking to my brother last night he's got a guy he works with who's driving him nuts. To the point that he's asked his boss to can the guy, or move him to a different project. He didn't quite get his exact wish, but he was given the option of being moved to a different project.

Now I'm sure most of us have been there where we had a co-worker we absolutely hated. I've had to threaten a co-worker, but I've had a few people I've worked with where my patience and ability to tolerate people was really tested.

Last job I had there was this chick working there, she was the same age as I am, and this chick was a nut job. Being a drafting company we were a predominantly male company and shop talk at lunch would get quite crude. This chick had some serious self esteem issues and was a real attention whore. So she'd tell everyone about all the guys she'd been with and offer up like exact details. She was not very good looking, but had some disproportionately fake boobs that she had done up when whe was like 20. She was so stupid that she didn't understand half the burns that everyone directed at her. If she'd had any type of brain she would have just shut up.

Certainly we did enjoy hammering away at our dumb slut co-worker at lunch, but problem was the boss loved her. When it came to the job she was useless, and was on a totally different wave length than everyone else. The only time she did something remotely correct was when he did it for her. He seemed lost on the concept that in order to get any production out of her, he had to be doing the work. Working with her was a night mare as she'd flip out over everything, and I'm sure she intended to be that way because she knew someone else would pick up the slack and do all the work. She'd show up late and leave early every day and still bill out for a full day. If anyone else was ever late or left early we were questioned but apparently she could do whatever she wanted.

Now of course it was unanimous among the other 10 of us in the office that she was useless and should be canned. Every single one of us brought it up with the boss at one point in time. One of the guys did go as far as to tell him he goes or she goes. He ended up quitting because the boss refused to get rid of her. I finally had enough of his backwards management and told him that he was catering to the wrong people in the company when I resigned and that he'd be wise to rethink his priorities in terms of his employees when I quit. But the rest of the people there as much as they claim to hate her never followed through because they've been feared into thinking they need their jobs worse than the company needs them.

Lets hear your annoying co-worker stories because we've all had one.

Doesnt matter where you go...who you work with...there are always those who manage to hang onto their jobs beyond all reason. Maybe there was some <nudge nudge wink wink> happening between so called sluttish girl and the boss?

I worked with a woman in a graphics department who didn't know how to change the film in our processor. She had been there for 15 years.

Hammering, might not have been the best word there....maybe I should have used "Pounding" instead?

Which is what I think this co-worker was desparately hoping for.

Man oh man I have so many stories that just make be mad.

So basically I work in a mill pulling veneer. There are 5 people on a line per shift, each taking a position and rotating after each quarter. Each position is different, if your at the front you naturally pull more than the guy behind you cause there is alot more wood going by. Eventually the guy at the back should be getting not very much. As long as everybody does their job and pulls their own weight its ok.

Recently the people on my line have been swiched around, and they DON'T PULL. I pull MORE in the back position than most of the people in front of me. There is me and another guy that actually pull. Everyday day at work is now at least twice as hard as it was just a couple weeks ago.

Actually I think he was more of a creepy sit back and watch type. He had the devious pedafilish Eric Duhatshek look about him. I think he used the slut as a threatening device to extract more favors out of his wife. Basically become my slave or she will type of thing.

I guess if you have the power abuse it eh?

I agree that managing people is infintely more infuriating than working alongside them. Sometimes i feel like screaming at people to use their fataing initiative!
