Default How to raise money for your home reno....

in Appleton, Wisconsin! <tongue in cheek>

A Wisconsin man raising his 18-month-old daughter alone tried to sell the little girl for $7,000 so he could make improvements to his house, police said Friday.

Home renos for kids 101

You know everday theres something else that just surprises the hell out of me. You'd think after awhile breathing on this planet youd hear and see just about everything....then you see crap like this.
How do these people manage to live a semi normal life tricking people around them to believe they are normal?

That is NOT a common occurence in the US is it?? People trying to sell their kids so they could renovate their home??? They sell them so They can have a better life (somewhat) in a better house while the child is out there with some unknown person who bought them...

I know the Chinese in China sells Children, but its because they strive for having boys and they have a restriction on how many kids one could have... it still doesn't really sound good, but I think that its better than selling your kid for a home reno

As wrong as this might be; I think there is some confusion between cause and effect. The way you are looking at it, the guy said "I need some money for renos, how can I do it? I know, I'll sell my kid."

Whereas it's possible the guy found he was in over his head, started looking for a new home for his kid. He found somebody who was willing to adopt the kid, plus give him some money. Guy says to himself "I know, I'll use that money to do some work on the house that is overdue."

And to be honest when I saw the thread I thought you were looking for ideas for yourself, and I was going to say something like "You aren't using both of your kidneys, are you?"
