Trying to win this contest for the organization I got my ferrets from, I also volunteer with them working at fundraising events here in Calgary. It's a pain in the ass, but vet bills are huge and these guys are awesome with paying for surgeries. My one guy "Donnie" had a $800 adrenal surgery done and they covered the bill even though they didn't have to.

Yeah, they had to remove his adrenal glands, quite common in Ferrets. $800 is the most I've heard it cost, if everythign goes smooth and quick it can be as low as $500.

$800 seems a little steep for a ferret's operation but I know what I have and what I would spend on my dogs so I guess it isn't all that wacky as I may think.

I know dude, vet bills are insane. But you love the little guys, and keeping them healthy becomes more important than spending the money on some other crap.

Not sure exactly, but the gift certificate goes to FRES, not to me. The rescue organization will use it to buy stuff and use the food to feed the Ferrets that are currently ina foster home.
