Well, I think he has lost a lot of fans in the last little while, following all the weird behaviour. I used to like him, but after I saw that interview he did with Matt Lauer, I could no longer tolerate him.

Things started going sour for Tom Cruise when he fired his long time publicist and hired his sister as his publicist. Usually his old publicist would give a list of topics to the interviewers (like Lauer) that were not to be discussed (i'm guessing that joke of a religion scientology was one of them), guess his new publicist doesn't think of stuff like that .

This has been a problem with celebrity. Actors and atheletes. They get good, they get famous, they get rich and through all of it they are surrounded by people who are continually kissing their feet keeping the real world to the outside.
They have the GOD complex. They are our betters, didn't you know? They are so full of themselves they don't have a clue how out of touch they really are.

Ditto. I'd rather scratch my own nails on a chalkboard than listen to him speak. He is unbearable. Apparently, he knows what it feels like to push a watermelon out of a nostril. Of course, he did it in silence and took vitamins to help with the post-partum he was feeling .
Do you ever think Katie Holmes will wake up down the road and think, "what have I done?"

Tom Cruise sure turned out to be one strange little man, didn't he? So much for hoping there would ever be a Top Gun 2 *sigh*

I agree with HOZ, once they prove marketable, the Hollywood machine eats them and isolates them from the world. In this case, he also has Scientology isolating him (blame Mimi Rogers). And since much of this happened when he was young, he has no clue about real life outside of what he is told.
I kind of feel bad for Katie Holmes.

He just gets weirder and weirder:
Tom Cruise has taken the impending birth of his first child with fiancee Katie Holmes to another level."We've been doing seminars with the family just to educate them," the 43-year-old star of the upcoming "Mission: Impossible III" film tells GQ magazine in its May issue, on newsstands April 25.
"Running seminars so we can understand what Kate's going through, and for Kate to understand it. Things like how to take care of a pregnant woman and get ready for the birth.
"It's just kind of becoming a fun game of learning.

I'll pass on MI:3, partly because of Tom, but also because MI 1&2 sucked big time.... Especially 2, TC on a motorcycle shooting guns... nooo!!!!

I hope MI:3 bombs just to take him down a few notches.
I'm not usually one of those people who look forward seeing famous people fail, but in Tom's case, I'm more than happy to make an exception.

Rumour had it he would boycott publicity for MI:3 if Comedy Central showed the Scientology episode of SouthPark again (since the parent company of Comedy Central and the MI:3 film company are the same).
I believe CC and TC came out saying the report was false, but the repeat wasn't shown, so who knows </tinfoil hat>.
